Welcome! You deserve to feel your best and to be celebrated for your efforts along the way. I find joy in creating space for individuals grow and feel more connected to themselves and others! Whether you’re ready to begin your therapeutic journey or feeling hesitant, both feelings are valid. You can expect that I will work closely with you to create a personalized therapeutic plan tailored to your needs and desired outcomes.
I am passionate about working with young people and adults, specializing in areas such as trauma, grief/loss, relationships, anxiety, pregnancy/postpartum/infertility, ADHD, & life transitions.
I’ve been practicing since 2023. Though, my journey to therapy began in 2011 through community roles, school-based work, and post-secondary teaching. I completed my Advanced Child and Youth Care Diploma followed by a Bachelor’s in Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University, and later a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
My approach is rooted in relational practice and trauma-informed care, with a strong emphasis on building a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to co-create a warm, secure environment that meets you where you are. Throughout our work together, I often use visuals, metaphors, and analogies to deepen understanding and reflection. You will always be informed about the interventions we use and encouraged to apply strategies beyond our sessions. My practice is relational and client-centered, adapting to the needs of each person I meet.
Modalities I frequently use include CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Play Therapy.
When I’m not in session, you might find me with my husband and son. With a love for travel, podcasts, ice coffee, and being outdoors, I look for activities that create experiences and foster connection.
I’d love to connect with you!
With care,
Brittany
